Just a few minutes to go before kick-off in Tallaght Stadium and Prague. How do you see these games going for Shamrock Rovers and Shelbourne?

Kick-Off! Shelbourne v Hacken, Sparta Prague v Shamrock Rovers

3 mins: Shelbourne 0-0 Hacken

It’s a dreadful night of wind and rain in Dublin as Harry Wood attempts to cut the ball across into the Hacken area but he doesn’t connect properly with the ball.

5 mins: Sparta Prague 0-0 Shamrock Rovers

The hosts work the ball around as the linesman thinks about raising the flag before dropping it.

An inviting ball in almost tries to find Jan Kuchta but he doesn’t get his head behind it in time. Sivert Mannsverk tries one from the edge of the box but it’s rising all the time.

8 mins: Shelbourne 0-0 Hacken

Chances for both sides. Ali Coote finds Mipo Odubeko who tries to release a shot in the penalty area and goes to the floor but the referee waves off calls for a penalty.

Hacken are then gifted an opportunity after a misplaced pass out of defence by Kameron Ledwidge. But the effort is pulled across and wide.

14 mins: Shelbourne 0-0 Hacken

GOAL RULED OUT!!

A great corner delivery comes to Coote whose deflected effort falls into the path of  Odubeko. But as his shot ends up in the net, the flag is up and the goal is immediately scratched off.

18 mins: Sparta Prague 0-0 Shamrock Rovers

The hosts are enjoying most of the possession and showing glimmers of a threat but nothing major yet. Lukas Sadilek looking lively for the hosts and has just won a corner.

Nothing comes of it after a shot from Mannsverk outside the box.

19 mins: Shelbourne 0-0 Hacken

Goalkeeper Wessel Speel is needed to reach across and produce a save but he’s behind it the whole time.

21 mins: Sparta Prague 0-0 Shamrock Rovers

Rovers still trying to really impose themselves on this game. Standing strong defensively but need to start creating some meaningful attacks and press up the field.

23 mins: Shelbourne 0-0 Hacken

Great defensive play!

Paddy Barrett deflects the ball out for a corner after Hacken sneak in at the back and try to cut the ball back. They keep possession from the corner and play the ball around.

Silas Andersen then tries a shot first time, but again Barrett gets the vital touch to concede the corner.

The Swedish side are coming more into the game.

26 mins: Shelbourne 0-0 Hacken

Shels keeper Wessel Speel needs some treatment on the field. There’s no let-up with the rain in Tallaght.

27 mins: Sparta Prague 0-0 Shamrock Rovers

A second corner for the home side after another nervy moment for Rovers when Kuchta volleyed the ball from close range on the turn. Roberto Lopes gets the block in to deflect the ball out for the corner.

30 mins: Shelbourne 0-0 Hacken

Odubeko is down now. It looks like it’s a non-contact injury but hopefully not too serious. He’s been lively for Shelbourne this evening.

31 mins: Shelbourne 0-0 Hacken

SAVE!

Kerr McInroy is through and tries to thump one from distance. But Etrit Berisha is down quickly to smother the ball. It was a decent try from McInroy who has been influential throughout the first half.

GOAL! Sparta Prague 1-0 Shamrock Rovers (Lukas Sadilek ’33)

35 mins: Sparta Prague 1-0 Shamrock Rovers

That’s not a goal Rovers will want to see again any time soon. They got completely stretched defensively and a touch over the head should have been dealt with. But instead, the ball is squared and Sadilek races in to poke it home.

Really, that goal has been coming as Rovers have come under a lot of pressure in the first half. Sparta Prague have enjoyed the majority of the possession and that’s their reward.

38 mins: Shelbourne 0-0 Hacken

Half chance for Hacken from a volley. But Barrett gets across to block it with his chest.

41 mins: Shelbourne 0-0 Hacken

Seán Gannon reads the ball in well and gets a touch on it for Speel to gather safely.

43 mins: Sparta Prague 1-0 Shamrock Rovers

Another worrying moment at the back for Rovers! A ball that should be booted out is left loose before eventually getting it out.

Perhaps a bit of after effects from the concession of the goal. Half-time is coming at a good time for Stephen Bradley’s team.

GOAL! Sparta Prague 2-0 Shamrock Rovers (Martin Suchomel ’44)

45 mins: Sparta Prague 2-0 Shamrock Rovers

And that’s another goal that could have been prevented.

Half-Time! Sparta Prague 2-0 Shamrock Rovers

Half-Time! Shelbourne 0-0 Hacken

Shelbourne 0-0 Hacken, Sparta Prague 2-0 Shamrock Rovers

It’s been a better opening 45 minutes for Joey O’Brien’s team as Harry Wood is within inches of breaking the deadlock in injury time in the first half. They’ve created plenty of chances but Hacken are well in the contest too.

However, it’s been a difficult first half for Shamrock Rovers over in Prague. They really needed to hold on and keep the score at 1-0 until half-time, but they conceded a second goal from a set-piece.

A corner in landed on the head of Adam Sevínsky whose effort causes Ed McGinty to fumble the ball, allowing Suchomel who drills the rebound into the net.

Rovers haven’t really created anything. It could be a very difficult second half.

Here’s the Lukas Sadilek goal for Sparta Prague

Second Half: Shelbourne v Hacken, Sparta Prague v Shamrock Rovers

45 mins: Shelbourne 0-0 Hacken

Shelbourne change: Evan Caffrey replaces Kam Ledwidge

Rain has eased slightly in Tallaght but wind is still swirling about.

50 mins: Sparta Prague 3-0 Shamrock Rovers

It looks like Asger Sorensen has extended the lead with a header. But we’re going to VAR to determine if there was an offside.

51 mins: Sparta Prague 3-0 Shamrock Rovers (Asger Sorensen ’51)

53 mins: Sparta Prague 3-0 Shamrock Rovers

And the VAR check does not favour Rovers. It’s a goal from a set-piece again as Sparta Prague take a quick corner and a lobbed ball in results in a free header for Sorensen.

The night is getting worse for Rovers.

56 mins: Shelbourne 0-0 Hacken

No real chance materialising for either side yet. It’s been very cagey all evening. One moment could change everything.

59 mins: Shelbourne 0-0 Hacken

Change for Shelbourne: Jack Henry-Francis replaces Ali Coote.

63 mins: Sparta Prague 3-0 Shamrock Rovers

Rovers make changes: Burke, Noonan, Mandroiu, Watts on for McEneff, Noonan, McGovern, Nugent

63 mins: Shelbourne 0-0 Hacken

Seán Gannon is off and he’s walking a bit gingerly as he makes his way. Hopefully it’s not too serious.

64 mins: Shelbourne 0-0 Hacken

Shelbourne change: Mark Coyle is on for Gannon

67 mins: Shelbourne 0-0 Hacken

Strong move from Hacken ends with Andersen hitting it first time from the edge of the box. But there’s nowhere enough power in it and Speel easily collects it.

The visitors moved the ball well but lacking in the final product. We’re in for a big closing 20 minutes it seems.

70 mins: Shelbourne 0-0 Hacken

Hacken come on the attack again but Jordan Norris reads the move well to intervene. The flag goes up anyway but he was alert to the danger.

74 mins: Sparta Prague 3-0 Shamrock Rovers

Shamrock Rovers have to defend a free from a dangerous spot. Lukas Haraslin decides to go short, gets the ball back and weaves around four Rovers players before McGinty lunges to parry the ball away.

75 mins: Shelbourne 0-0 Hacken

MISS!

Another scary moment for Shelbourne as Isak Brusberg tries to help the ball home from the cutback. He’s off target though and the home side can breathe again.

78 mins: Shelbourne 0-0 Hacken

Evan Caffrey tries to loop the ball into the box but his delivery is way too close to the Hacken keeper Berisha and he gathers with ease.

The final 10 minutes is looming in Dublin.

GOAL! Sparta Prague 3-1 Shamrock Rovers (Daniel Mandroiu ’83)

85 mins: Sparta Prague 3-1 Shamrock Rovers

Great response from Rovers as the substitute Mandroiu hits the ball on the spin and pulls one back and give his team a bit of a spark in the closing five minutes.

86 mins: Shelbourne 0-0 Hacken

Time running out for the hosts to break the deadlock in Tallaght Stadium.

GOAL! Sparta Prague 4-1 Shamrock Rovers (Lukas Haraslin ’90)

91 mins: Shelbourne 0-0 Hacken

Yellow card for Norris for a last-ditch tackle to prevent a Hacken attack. Four minutes of added time announced. Will there be a winner?

93 mins: Shelbourne 0-0 Hacken

Hacken have a late free from a dangerous spot. Can Shelbourne hold on?

Full-Time! Shelbourne 0-0 Hacken

Full-Time: Sparta Prague 4-1 Shamrock Rovers

Shelbourne 0-0 Hacken, Sparta Prague 4-1 Shamrock Rovers

And that is that!

Contrasting fortunes for the League of Ireland sides as Shelbourne take a point from Hacken’s visit while Shamrock Rovers endure a difficult night in Prague.

There was just one goal for the League of Ireland sides this evening as Danny Mandroiu was on target for Rovers in their defeat to Sparta Prague.

It was a goalless night in Tallaght Stadium although Mipo Odubeko did have a goal disallowed in the first half. But they do come away with a point.

Well, that’s all from us folks. We hope you enjoyed the coverage this evening, and we look forward to having you with us again soon.

Until then, good luck!
